feeder sound exclusive premiere: Dece x Eye [WHY03]

Bucharest-based DJ and producer Dece returns to his digital playground on Bandcamp with WHY03, bringing forward two tracks flavoured with steaming rhythms and textures perfect for the dancefloor. The mastering for this one is signed by AF.

Passionate about electronic music since he was young, Dece always delivers memorable performances behind the decks while studio time will definitely result in inspiring productions infused with his distinct approach to minimal techno and microhouse, just like this release right here. Throughout time he played alongside artists like Fumiya Tanaka, Alexis Cabrera, Varhat, iO (Mulen), Janeret, Nu Zau, Sepp, Suciu, Giuliano Lomonte, Olga Korol, Ada Kaleh, Lizz, Sublee, Alsi, Cosmjn, Mihai Pol, Bryz, Mihigh, Ted Amber and Jay Bliss, either in Bucharest or other cities like London, Barcelona, Lisbon, Vienna, Amsterdam and Rome.

“I wanted to make an EP that focuses you more and more to evolve on different patterns with your mind.”

Dece

“Eye” opens the EP with uplifting drumming patterns and a solid bassline that slowly introduces electrifying synth arpeggios and twisted effects that smoothly complement each other creating an immersive sonic journey best fitted for peak time moments at any party. Here, the breakdowns only tone it down a bit, as the background keeps morphing and evolving until the last second.

“Contact” is equally engaging, laying out a swinging minimalistic sound powered by subtle glitched layers, highly modulated vocal samples, warm pads and funky bass riffs. There’s no way you can’t dance to this groove as the track always reveals new arrangements after each breathing moment.
