After several amazing digital releases, intriguing podcast transmissions and inspiring showcase events, Concept Records proudly presents its first vinyl pressing in the form of Ethics Various Artists, featuring Romanian DJs and producers Bryz and Vern, French wizz-kid Lukea and UK’s Azire. Marking the next chapter in the project’s journey, the record sure adds even more magic to the label’s catalogue which also includes collaborations with artists like Nicolas Barnes, Muse Groove, Bucurie, Octave, Jemmi, Subtil, Microlab and many many others.

Our exclusive premiere for today comes from Bryz, a well-known presence in both local and international electronic music scenes who has numerous performances and releases under his belt. Among the imprints he worked with we find Verum, Rhizome, Zebra Records, Obaidli, Unic, Tzinah, Need For Sound, Vandalism Black Series, Welter, Samani and his own playground Esente Records.

Opening Side A, “Hmood” by Bryz lays out a smooth and funky steady-paced rhythm elegantly complemented by groovy synth melodies, warm background textures and mysterious vocal samples that call for a dance. Designed in the artist’s distinct style, the track definitely counts as a steaming addition to any peak-time selection at any party.

Following, Lukea‘s “Nocturnum” dives deeper into nighttime sounds, delivering an immersive atmosphere powered by bright synth pads, ethereal insertions and spacious breakdowns, while on the flipside Vern‘s “Audioportation” drifts into uplifting shades of progressive and dubby affairs. Closing, “Evolve” by Azire drops a rather different vibe yet maintains the energy and the feeling from the other tracks. Here, the shuffling of the drumming patterns intertwines with subtle glitched layers and whispers bringing forward a hypnotic rhythm perfect for the afterhours. A highly recommended record right here for collectors and selectors alike!
