feeder sound exclusive premiere: Olga Korol – Kviten [BPrecs]
Olga Korol drops three previously unreleased tracks in the form of “Oliya EP“ on BPrecs, a Moscow-based community of labels which include Body Parts vinyl, Mind Series vinyl, Tooloop vinyl and BP digital. As a co-founder of these ventures alongside Denis Korablev and Pan Sancho, she dedicated a lot of time promoting and bringing-forward fresh electronic music signed by new talents and established underground artists alike, while delivering her own sounds to the people.
Influenced by house, techno, minimal and breakbeat, Olga brings a unique sound to the table which enjoys massive support from the international scene. This brings her gigs all over the world including in Romania, where she shared the decks with Raresh, Praslea, Crihan, Cristi Cons, Vlad Caia and others. Nowadays, she lives in Berlin, where you can catch her playing at Hoppetosse or working in the studio on fresh projects.
💥 Time to get down with “Kviten” exclusively on feeder sound:
The track reveals a playful stripped-down rhythm flavoured with hip-hop vocal cuts and a prominent broken beat pattern that has a smooth swing embedded into it. The wobbling bassline is felt throughout the whole journey while the variations of the main layers provide a perfect balance.
Designed in a similar fashion, “SOS” uses the combination between breakbeat and minimal in order to deliver a quirky sound while “Coop” goes fully 4/4, incorporating bleeps, glitches and a darker mood in its structure. A very intriguing package of tools for eclectic selections right here!
