It’s time to enjoy the selection Piktor played at the Closing Party for this year’s edition of Diploma festival in Bucharest on our soundcloud page. The event was also a part of the feeder sound LIVE stream series, a concept that connects talented artists from different artistic fields, joining modern music and contemporary art with people, in an engaging context.
On Saturday, October 19th, in the courtyard of the historical monument building where the Cina Restaurant used to be, feeder.ro and Diploma joined forces for the closing event, inviting DJ and producer Victor Pavlovschi aka Piktor to perform alongside visual artist Irina Mocanu. With support from Eirwud Mudwasser, the exhibition’s attendants had the change to enjoy an elegant blend of smooth minimalistic and Balearic rhythms with an inspiring live-painting session.
As the author of our second viny-only release titled “Similar Feelings“, as well as the one behind several EPs released with labels like Lokomotiv, Subtil and Baumbaum, Piktor made a name for himself through carefully crafted sound patterns and rhythms. His productions enjoy massive support on the international scene while a lot of people had the change to dance on his sets across Romania and Europe. In 2018, his mix for the feeder sound podcast series was number 1 in our annual TOP 10, counting more than 15k plays at the moment. With this said, we invite you to surf the sinewaves one more time with Piktor at the controls.
“I can’t imagine the DJ part without the production part.” – Piktor
feeder sound LIVE with Piktor reveals a steady-paced selection that builds tension by slowly going through quirky minimal arrangements, alluring microhouse sequences and dubby atmospheric tracks. The balanced percussive elements help create organic transitions, taking the listener into a deep journey for the mind, soul and body.
Let us know in the comments where your imagination takes you by looking at Irina’s painting while listening to Piktor’s recording. Don’t be shy, be creative!
