With 2020 slowly setting in, here are all the 4 DJ sets recorded at the feeder sound LIVE events that took place last year.
In 2019 the feeder sound project brought forward something special, inviting some of the most talented local DJs and producers to perform alongside skilled visual artists in order to deliver 4 immersive LIVE experiences, where music elegantly got mixed with art. Once a month, between the 24th of July and October 19th, Dragutesku, Oana, Ada Kaleh and Piktor provided engaging and introspective selections while ERPS, Livi Po, Kseleqoqynqyshy and Irina Mocanu showcased their live painting abilities on 2×1,5m canvases.
With the recordings now available in full-length on our soundcloud page summing up to almost 9h of inspiring electronic music, we invite you to sit back and enjoy the sounds with the volume up!
DRAGUTESKU (dj set) & ERPS (live painting)
The first episode of the series saw Dragut Adrian aka Dragutesku, the protagonist of our first vinyl-only release “Suflet Prezent”, joining forces with the acclaimed graffiti artist ERPS. While the selection provided some steaming and sophisticated sounds, in the background, the shapes, colours and tags slowly morphed into a tribute for the Romanian minimal scene.
Delivering true girl power, the second session had Oana and Livi Po as guests, gracefully displaying their creativity combined. The two artists took us on a deep journey through music and art which incorporates the finest emotions, colours and sounds. From deep house and minimalistic compositions to dub and trip-hop, the recording serves as a perfect soundtrack for the final painting, titled “YOU FLOWER”.
ADA KALEH (dj set) & KSELEQOQYNQYSHY (live painting)
For the third episode, Ada Kaleh and Kseleqoqynqyshy teamed up in order to dispatch an eclectic musical and visual story, one that can easily challenge anyone’s imagination. While the rhythms were flavoured with an old-school feeling that smoothly captures the DJ’s passion for digging, the canvas gradually evolved into an out-of-this-world landscape that depicts animals and aliens getting ready for a party.
PIKTOR (dj set) & IRINA MOCANU (live painting)
In charge of the fourth episode, Victor Pavlovschi aka Piktor, the author of our second viny-only release “Similar Feelings”, and visual artist Irina Mocanu took the event from our indoor headquarters to the courtyard of the historical monument building where the Closing Party for last year’s edition of Diploma took place, marking an amazing collaboration between feeder.ro and the festival. With support from Eirwud Mudwasser, the exhibition’s attendants had the chance to enjoy smooth minimalistic and Balearic sounds while the live painting session surely challenged their imagination.
The year just started, yet a lot of interesting things are about to happen and a lot of ideas are already brewing in our minds, with more surprises coming from the feeder sound project in the near future. We always listen to people’s opinions and wishes, so let us know in the comments what would you like to see and hear on our platform! ✨
