Cesare vs Disorder – Robot Backpack EP [Rawax]

Rawax proudly welcomes Serialism Records‘ head chef Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder to the label with “Robot Backpack EP”, a steaming 4-tracker designed with warm, deep and powerful breaks, perfect for peak-time moments or the after-hours at any party. Each track has its own story to tell and together they provide a smooth sonic experience.

The German label surely adds even more magic to its catalogue with this release which smoothly complements a solid discography featuring artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Franco Cinelli, Marco Bernardi, Barac, Neil Landstrumm, Ali Nasser, Sublee, Lizz, Alexkid, Alex Pervukhin, Ohm & Octal Industries, Diego Krause, Saktu, Enzo Siragusa, Silat Beksi, Ada Kaleh, Steve O’Sullivan, iO (Mulen), Sepp and Wave Particle Singularity, among many others.

Opening the EP, “All One” lays out a lively composition flavoured with steady-paced breaks, a solid pulsating bassline and trippy effects while Kevin Knapp’s vocal insertions add an extra inspiring message for the people. Next up, “Leo” dives deep into old-school vibes delivering a mesmerising atmosphere elegantly crafted with meandering textures, driving jungle beats and warm background vocals.

On the flip side, we first find “You and I”, a wobbling cut that continuously twists and transforms as various melodies and samples flow into an organic and melancholic journey while the title track “Robot Backpack” switches gears and closes the material with an electrifying ambience powered by a relentless drive that constantly builds tension.
