Alex Pervukhin – JV & MPC EP [Aimed]

Ukrainian imprint Aimed launches its Limited vinyl-only series with “JV & MPC EP” signed by Alex Pervukhin alongside label head Cheise on remix duties. The material delivers a steaming uptempo house sound infused with acid, progressive and breakbeat influences, perfect for late-night hours at any party or underground raves. Based in Kyiv, the venture was founded in 2017 by Orbit, Belogurov and Cheise and brings forward top-quality sounds from artists worldwide, such as Stephan Bazbaz, Miffy & Miller, Anton Kubikov, Cesare vs Disorder, Consep, Felipe Venegas & Alejandro Vivanco and Aron, among others.

Lviv-based DJ and producer Alex Pervukhin is well known for his activity in the international electronic music scene as well as for his releases with Tessellate, Colors Of Crocus, Hubble Recordings, Rawax, Laate, Sweaty Bull and his own playground Laconica. He’s also part of the Zavtra crew with Lstn, Ocean T and Zbaraski.

On Side A the opening track “Down Into The House” drops a thundering groove designed with old-school house elements, warm textures and an ever-evolving track progression that calls out for frantic dancing while the following cut “Ocean, Orange Sky & Liana” dives deep into steady-paced Italo Disco rhythms smoothly flavoured with bright background pads, a solid wobbling bassline and eerie vocal samples that add a subtle layer of mystery to the whole journey.

On the flipside we first find the original take on “Jus A Morning”, an uplifting carousel of acidic house sounds and beats set at 130 bpm while Cheise’s “Dark Trip Mix” lays out a breakbeat-infused extravaganza that twists and turns, spirals inward and outward and definitely counts as a powerful tool for inspired DJs and acid house lovers.
