We invite you to take yet another energetic ride on the feeder sound podcast series musical carousel with our guest for this Friday, veteran DJ and producer Saktu. Enjoy your weekend starting with this recording to get you in the mood for good times!
Saktu has been active in the electronic music scene for over 20 years, playing in the best clubs worldwide, having various digital and vinyl releases on leading underground music labels and hosting his own radio shows. He’s also the founder and manager of Heisenberg, an electronic music imprint based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Here he published numerous materials from artists like Jamahr, Sonartek, Anton Kubikov, Kaitaro, Wyro, Nu Zau and Dubfound, to name only a few. His friendship and collaboration with Tobi Neumann and Dave Vega lead to the formation of the Ogni project back in 2016 which so far brought forward three EPs, one of which was presented earlier this year as the first pressing of their freshly founded venture Ogni Tapes.
Saktu was the first Russian DJ invited to make official vinyl podcasts for decks.de and XLR8R magazine, an experience that later leads him to perform in Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Zurich, Riga, Moscow and Koh Phangan island in Thailand as a part of the Ogni trio. Recently, he spent more time in the studio and some of the results of his work will soon be enjoyed as full-length tracks on “Spree Dubz” EP coming from Rawax very soon.
“The podcast was recorded during my isolation in Thailand on Koh Phangan island. The mix includes some unreleased tracks by Alex Zola & SameSame from my label Heisenberg, tracks from my project Ogni, as well as some tunes from artists like Tripmastaz, Jamahr, Lauren Lo Sung, Javier Carballo, Toby Tobias, Yamen & Eda and others.” – Saktu
feeder sound 267 mixed by Saktu reveals an engaging selection that swings through various shades of house and techno music, going from solid dancefloor-oriented grooves to deeper atmospheric cuts and minimalistic pieces. The transitions provide an organic balance throughout the whole journey so enjoy it with the volume up for the best outcome!
Today is the last day when you can VOTE for your favourite sets participating in the feeder sound Open Call for DJs, so make sure you express your choices until 23:59 (Romania time, GMT+3) when the poll will close.
