He Did – Nuestra Lucha EP (w. Priku & Franco Cinelli remixes) [Spas Records]

After the successful launch last year with the “Cloud Gate” Various Artists compilation (Sascha Dive, Moreon & Baffa, Kike Mayor, Chklte), Spas Records announces its second vinyl-only release to arrive mid-December with He Did bringing forward “Nuestra Lucha EP” alongside Priku and Franco Cinelli on remix duties.

Half of Saint & Don’t Music (co-founded with Kike Mayor), Lima-based Ricardo Rueda aka He Did is well-known for his intense activity in both the Peruvian and international electronic music scenes, having numerous performances and releases under his belt. Aside from the works published via his label he also collaborated with imprints like Archipel, Capodopere, Minim Records, Capodopere, WallMapu, Ipsum Records, Detroit Vinyl Room, Drumma, Tied and Ukiyo, among others.

The two original tracks “Nuestra Lucha” and “Proveedor” are smoothly connected as both navigate on the same frequencies and tempo. Expect solid stripped-back rhythms, eerie atmospheres, dark tones and heavily modulated samples to create a hypnotic sonic affair perfect for dimly lighted dancefloors.

Priku‘s remix of the title track switches gears for a more swinging and warm sound dominated by a pulsating synth that creates constant tension while Franco Cinelli‘s reinterpretation of B1 adds a pumping techno vibe to the original which is elegantly paired with meandering arpegiators.
