feeder sound exclusive premiere: Peshka – Spozaranku [Frequencies]
The freshly founded Ukrainian record label Frequencies announces its first vinyl-only record to arrive soon in the form of an amazing Various Artists compilation featuring Rayo, Vinaya, Peshka and label owner Dima Belogurov aka Dibe. The mastering was made in Berlin at RV Audio, the art by Beau Nelson and the design by Dima Phase.
Elegantly combining minimal techno, microhouse, breakbeat, smooth dub and electro flavours, the VA showcases a spiralling fresh sound coming from the 4 Ukrainian artists, designed for the dancefloor with style. Listen to the full B1 track exclusively on feeder sound:
Opening the B-Side, Peshka‘s “Spozaranku” provides a warm and spacious atmospheric intro and steadily gains momentum as the drums kick in and the arpeggiators create a pulsating dubby sound that perfectly intertwines with the warm pads. The breakdowns generate even more tension as the weaving background textures twist and turn, creating a hypnotic sensation.
Peshka is well-known for his independent releases as well as for his international collaborations with labels like Visionquest, Banoffee Pies, Alien Recordings, Minim.all, Whoyostro, Re.Face Limited, Memory Remains and Razom, among many others.
Odesa-based Rayo (All Inn, Fabric, Propaganda, Body Parts) opens Side A with “Purkhavka”, a steady-paced low-tempo composition focused on heavily phased chords and driving broken beats that receive generous breathing spaces while vinyl selector and producer Vinaya (Wex, Telomere Plastic, Black Pony Orchestra Records) transmits “Mau Studio” from Kyiv to the world, following with an entrancing cut that provides groove and introspection at the same time. The acidic, electro and subtle psychedelic touches deliver a beautiful swing and a smooth transition to the flipside.
A member of the Aimed trio alongside Orbit and Cheise and currently based in Switzerland, Dima Belogurov recently launched his solo projects Dibe (Adult Only, Drumma, Serialism) and Frequencies in order to showcase his distinct vision of modern electronic music as well as other artists and friends from the scene. Here, he closes the record with “Exchange Pleasantries”, dropping a powerful dancefloor tool designed with a stripped-back rhythm powered by thundering basslines, sluggish effects and a wobbling grainy synth, perfect for peak-time moments at any party.
