VOTE: Let us know what are your favourite mastering services for electronic music
This summer we published a list of 10 mastering services for electronic music featuring Dragutesku‘s DRG Mastering, German venture Dubplates & Mastering, TIJN‘s In Haus Mastering, Tim Xavier and Michael Kuhn’s Manmade Mastering, the head of Archipel and Canadian artist Pheek who is in charge at Audio services, the multitalented Rob Small, Berlin-based RV Audio and Schnittstelle studios, Tripmastaz‘s TripMastering and Vlad Caia, who was recently part of a multidisciplinary artistic intervention during the Un-hidden Bucharest project where he crafted an experimental soundtrack to go with the mural painted by Pisica Pătrată at Romexpo (Expozitiei Boulevard).
All those studios and affiliated sound engineers as well as the independent artists featured are equally professional in their work, all delivering top-quality results in mixing and mastering services for artists worldwide. The list focuses on the modern nuances of house, microhouse, deep house, tech house, techno, minimal techno, dub techno, breaks and closely related rhythms and textures.
Each mastering service mentioned will have particularities, as various common principles in the field of mastering combined with personal techniques are being used in different ways depending on the genre. No matter the approach, the result is the most important thing as everybody wants well-balanced tracks to be released properly so that many people will enjoy them on vinyl or in digital format.
As we value your input and insights, we invite you to VOTE for your favourite Mastering Services from the provided list. Additionally, feel free to share your experiences and recommendations in the comments section to assist fellow electronic music enthusiasts in their choices!
Our next poll will be focused on electronic music live acts that create amazing sonic experiences in the minimal techno and microhouse scene using analog gear, various instruments and their unique vision of modulating the frequencies to the delight of many. Uncover more from our featured lists featuring artists and collaborative projects, Part 1 and Part 2.
Join us at the upcoming Un-hidden Bucharest street art exhibition, and you have a rare chance to listen to Vlad Caia playing an experimental set while Ortaku paints a large canvas, on October 20th at Lente (Dionisie Lupu 78). The performance will be streamed live on the un-hidden fb page.
