The 7th instalment in The Sound Collective‘s discography brings forward three original cuts signed by local artist Boske and one steaming remix from Joona H and label-head Mihut. Titled “Arpegiat Repetetiv”, the EP delivers a solid combination of deep house and microhouse, smoothly infused with minimalistic arrangements, spaced-out breakdowns and hypnotic melodies that can make anyone start daydreaming in seconds.

Founded by Mihut in 2020 as a local event platform in Helsinki, The Sound Collective steadily grew into an international beacon for top-quality electronic music, doing podcasts, releases and showcase events while connecting artists from Romania, Finland and beyond.

Well-known for his breaking release “De vorba cu ea” released back in 2016 on Senzorial alongside Incolor, Marius Moldoveanu aka Boske has steadily made a name for himself in the international electronic music scene, dispatching timeless productions with labels like Otomoji, WHOAMI Records and Miromu, among others.

Opening the EP, “Sundae Moaning” lays out a warm steady-paced rhythm smoothly completed by lush atmospheric soundscapes, ever-evolving textures and alluring effects, marking the beginning of a satisfying journey into the realm of modern minimalism and distinct sonic adventures.

Following, “Carpe Diem” slightly switches gears, incorporating syncopated layers and carefully crafted broken beats into the flow while the reverberating background pads remain melancholic and open to mindful explorations.

The title track “Arpegiat Repetitiv” sticks close to the concept yet unravels a different harmonic approach, with twisted effects and phased synth constructions in focus, perfect for laid-back sessions and the afterhours while Mihut and Joona H‘s remix slowly takes the sound into the evening hours, delivering an inviting reinterpretation as the tempo and chords dive into deep house flavours.
