Pleasure Zone welcomes Brizman to the label family with “Takes Its Tool EP” for their 42nd edition, bringing forward four beautiful warm and groovy tracks. The German imprint is widely known for its numerous releases delivered through the main series as well as the Digital, Limited and Treasures counterpart ventures, collaborating with numerous rising and established artists worldwide for quite some time now.
From Tel Aviv to Berlin, Brizman leaves his fingerprint sound wherever he performs and to each record label he so far dropped his steaming productions. Until now, he worked with Caprices Music, Subtil, Artreform, SCI + TEC, Fantastic Friends Recordings, Audio Therapy and VDK while last year he presented the first pressing on his freshly founded vinyl-only playground Silvi.
Side A opens with “Modern Love”, an uplifting composition powered by a solid four-to-the-floor rhythm that’s elegantly complemented by immersive textures that truly stand out during the lush breakdowns, while “Paving My Path” takes the journey deeper, providing a steady-paced and swinging groove where the warm ever-evolving pads offer an elegant background scenario, perfect for laid-back afternoon sessions.
On the flip, the title track “Takes Its Tool” hits like a hammer with its solid drumming patterns and bassline just as the meandering phased chords extend into dubby sonic affairs while the closing cut “Vox Populi” switches gears for a rather immersive sound focused on spiralling textures and effects, without losing momentum. A highly recommended record right here for collectors and selectors alike.
