Barut – Antelia EP [Sintope Vinyl Series]

Romanian imprint Sintope Vinyl Series announces its 21st record to arrive soon in the form of “Antelia” EP signed by American artist Barut, who returns to the label after his “Tiema Azul” EP released back in 2019. The record definitely adds even more magic to the label’s catalogue which so far showcased inspiring electronic music from artists like Optik, Rhadow, The Mekanism, nSd, Remus, Lumieux, Aron, Miroloja, LRNT and, of course, label heads NTFO.

Based in Miami, Cristian Perera aka Barut is widely known for his engaging DJ sets and intriguing productions released via labels like Botanic Minds & Botanic Minds Sunset Series, Moulinet, More Than Music, Bondage Music and Uvar. This EP makes no exception from his distinct approach to minimal techno and microhouse.

Side A opens with “Ilanto Zur”, a warm and breezy composition powered by a steady-paced rhythm, spiralling background textures and carefully placed breathing moments while the following track “Amarel” dives deeper, laying out a tension-building tool designed with rotating chords and solid basslines in focus.

On the flipside we first find “Ramana” taking the energy from A2 into an uplifting scenario flavoured with subtle psychedelic influences and strong progressive aspects, making this cut perfect for peak time moments. The title track “Antelia” switches gears and closes the 12″ with a melodic sonic affair set at 122 bpm, delivering a rather chilled-out soundscape best fitted for the early afterhours at any party.
