After more than 20 years of relentless activity in the international underground electronic music scene, Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder presents his first album “Antidote” on his label Serialism Records. The LP reflects his diverse musical background, drawing inspiration from jungle, breakbeat, trip-hop, acid jazz and electronica while arriving in two versions on vinyl and digital format featuring inspiring collaborations with very talented artists from various corners of the world.

Born with a passion for classical music and honed through years of training, Cesare‘s journey into electronic music began in the late ’90s when he started DJing, getting exposed to various genres like hip-hop, indie rock, reggae and drum’n’bass. However, his love for modern jazz, bossanova, dub, electronica and minimal techno left a significant bearing on his later musical taste and that’s exactly this rich tapestry of mixed influences that gave life to “Antidote” LP which showcases his innovative approach to club music, promising to be a distinct sonic experience where the sounds of yesterday meet the future of electronic music.

Closing the B-Side of the first record, “South East” reveals a wobbling rhythm powered by swinging broken beats, a solid bassline brought into focus, carefully placed glitched arrangements as breakdowns and floating vocals that call for a dance.

The vinyl-only version of the album unfolds 8 tracks featuring collaborations with Romanian maestro Cristi Cons, Amsterdam’s eclectic San Proper, LA-based MC Rockey Washington and Serialism Records’ A&R and longtime friend Weg. The journey continues with 5 more digital tunes including productions with visionary Boston-based hip-hop and jazz guru Mike Ladd, London-based DJ, producer and captivating voice Joe Le Groove and American vocalist Aminah Raysor with her moniker MC Dreaminah.

Bringing forward a captivating blend of old-school emotions and contemporary rhythms and textures that will leave listeners feeling inspired and transported to another time, the LP delivers a mixture of nostalgia and modernity at the same time, rendering an unforgettable musical experience. It also marks the second LP in the label’s discography, with the first one being released back in 2013 by Quenum.
