#stayhome #day24 Here’s another delightful recording for you to enjoy in the comfort of your home!
Demete, or Bogdan by his real name, is a long time vinyl lover and collector who likes to spin his records every time he gets the chance. Well-known for his intense activity on the local scene for quite some time now, he shared the decks with artists like Nopame, Amorf, SIT, Paul Popa, Bask, Boola, Vlad Dinu and Lent Ritmat, among others.
Bogdan is also the co-owner of MadPiano, a renowned record store located in the heart of Bucharest on Stelea Spataru No. 13 street. Sharing the same roof with Manasia Hub, the venue celebrated its 6 years anniversary in January, setting sails for more to come for sure. Aside from numerous records featuring local and international music, various genres and release dates, here you can also find all sorts of accessories for mixing from turntables to headsets and styluses. Furthermore, the brand organises regular vinyl fairs and showcase events, inviting people to explore all sorts of sounds, to acquire fresh or rare pressings and, of course, to have a good time.
“The mix is a collage of old and new music, representative for my vinyl collection. The tracks, some known, some not at all, follow a narrative thread in the Romanian style. Over 80% are Romanian productions that intertwine in an almost familiar journey into the electronic underground sphere. A story with a beginning and an end!” – Demete
feeder sound 258 mixed by Demete incorporates various shades of minimal rhythms, microhouse, deep house and breaks. One after another, the tracks are smoothly transitioned, infusing the recording with constant energy and fluidity. Hidden in the selection, we can hear Dan Andrei‘s “Fuzzy Se Intoarce” from Parcul Cosmos EP released in 2015 with a:rpia:r and Audiotheque & Sublee‘s “Memories” from the first 12” published by OutOfStock.
Here’s a list of fresh releases you can buy in order to support your favourite music-makers during the lockdown. Also, make sure you check out our Youtube channel as well. We have a lot of new content for you to discover!
