Disuasiv – Project M [Curtea Veche]
After releasing Dragosh‘s “Got You EP“, Curtea Veche kicks off its LTD series with “Project M” signed by Dragosh and Andi Parlogea a.k.a. Disuasiv. The EP features 2 original tracks and a remix by Cally, designed around techy rhythms and house music. The organic nature of the sound follows that distinct recipe of the parent label and let’s keep in mind that Sepp and Herck have released top-notch material for the imprint.
With works pressed at Pointillisme Musique, Memoria and Broquade the Romanian duo return only to amaze once more, with a very energetic, organic and futuristic sound.
Side A delivers “Brother Loopy“, a punchy groove designed for dancing. Following complex layering, the sounds reveal themselves in an elegant fashion as the track builds tension with ever-evolving sequences of cuts and percussion rhythms, to which subtle vocal cuts add up here and there. On the flipside “Project M” kicks in with powerful percussion and long-delayed atmospherics that fade in the hypnotic rhythm. The alluring echoes that make up the chilled part of the track blend with style with the cuts that have an accent on the deep and techy core rhythm.
Local Dj and producer Cally takes the original “Brother Loopy” and shapes it into a deep and rolling remix, perfect for afterhours. The mood of the track gives this release a sublime touch, making sure that this record will be played around for sure by world-renowned artists at any time of the party.
