Andi – Silverdale (w. Cally & Dragosh Remixes) [Imprim Records]

British venture Imprim Records sets sails with an amazing 12″ titled “Silverdale”, bringing forward two original cuts by Romanian artist Andi alongside fellow DJs and producers Cally and Dragosh on remix duties. The record represents more than just a collaboration between the three, who used to be flatmates in Milan back in 2011 while they were studying at Uni together and used to produce music on a daily basis, experimenting with analogue synthesis, software and hardware. A new journey begins!

Andi Pirlogea, or shortly Andi, has previously released intriguing materials with both of his close friends as the “Andi & Cally” duo (Fear Of Flying, Only 300 Family, Brouqade), followed by his second project Disuasiv together with Dragosh (Pointillisme Musique, Brouqade, Memoria Recordings, Curtea Veche). This EP marks another chapter in the artist’s career and more will follow for sure, so keep an eye on his online channels for future updates and fresh announcements.

Side A opens with the title track “Silverdale”, a groovy tech-house cut that constantly builds tension through its textures, pads and relentless drumming patterns, perfect for peak-time moments at any party. Cally follows up with a twisted remix, stripping down the original while adding deep synths and intricate syncopated layers to the story, maintaining the energy. Side B reveals a darker setting in the form of “Prin Mansarde”, delivering a complex narrative focused on delayed arpeggios lead by a bass-laden rhythm, carefully crafted breakdowns and playful percussion settings. Powered by ever-evolving undertones and hypnotic synths, Dragosh closes the EP with his crispy reinterpretation, making this release a must-have for selectors and collectors alike.
