The second pressing coming from the freshly-founded Podgorze project invites you to explore a magical sound dimension designed with mind-bending minimalistic and progressive aspects in the form of “1008 EP” signed by Israeli DJ and producer Soyro. Packed with four fresh cuts that will definitely make you want to move your body in seconds, this record adds up to a solid and inspiring discographic history related to the amazing materials released throughout time by Norse Projekt, Sobriquet Records, Brahe, Voynich, The Aviary and Damavand, true beacons for top-quality underground electronic music focused on minimal techno, microhouse and everything in between or beyond.

Soyro is well-known for his activity in the international scene for quite some time now, having shared the decks with many talented artists while dropping forward-thinking releases with PianoForest and Rhanamh alongside userUNKNWN, Kanja, Perceive, Fake Records and Abduction. Side A opens with the title track “1008”, a steady-paced introspective piece designed with a solid bassline in focus, alluring background textures and numerous interlaced layers of effects. The breakdowns are spacious enough to trigger different variations of the main elements, resulting in a hypnotic affair perfect for the dancefloor. Following, “Rover” drops a thumping rhythm, infused with a very funky swing and warm textures that receive subtle progressive influences. On the flipside we first find “Ln” bringing forward a relaxed narrative flavoured with spiralling effects and smooth ever-evolving background arrangements and “Ucansee” which closes the EP with a stripped-down minimal groove that slowly grows into a mesmerising tale of reverberating drums, soft pads and quirky modular themes.
