Bar Ză, our guest for this week’s episode of the feeder sound podcast series delivers an engaging selection for you to properly start your weekend with, so enjoy with the volume up!
Ştefan Barză aka Bar Ză is a very experienced producer and DJ which nowadays converts into a great underground artist. His experimental phase begun in 2012, defined by a musical odyssey composed of unmistakable Romanian sounds or influences brought upon him from Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, [a:rpia:r] and Marco Carola, after finally defining a style of his own.
Then and there, he absorbed acute attention to sound, subsequently refining his own audiofile and visual vocabulary, nonetheless focusing on the points of intersection between groovy sounds, minimalistic vibes and insightful crowd analysis. One of his first productions, “dDebas”, energized the crowd during Carola’s legendary 24h set at Sunwaves Festival #17. He also collaborated with local imprint Dinsubsol, dropping tracks on several Dinsubsol Romanesc Various Artists compilations as well as with Bucharest-based The Lab Records, Tzinah, Welter, Quanticman, Waldliebe Familien, LDN BLK, Pizarra Label, Kootz Music, Moonfire Music Lab, Binaural Arts and Mesmerize Musique, while his BDV Project alongside Darius Vlad already counts more than thirty independent releases.
feeder sound 247 mixed by Bar Ză reveals a dynamic carousel of deep and hypnotic house tracks, carefully selected in order to take one into a blissful journey to a dreamy sound dimension. The organic transitions make the rhythms flow with elegance while also bringing into focus soothing vocal cuts from time to time. Enjoy!
The mix is flavoured with introspective moments, so where do you see yourself dancing while listening to the recording? Don’t be shy, let us know in the comments section below!
