Scissor And Thread presents Tailored Cuts Vol .05

Scissor and Thread is the Brooklyn-based record label, co-founded in 2011 by Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, that has been releasing a wide range of quality electronic, ambient and alternative music for over a decade.

Tailored Cuts Vol. 5 builds on the previous four volumes to collect together a compilation of some of the label’s key releases and artists over the last years, and provides the perfect summation of the imprint’s singular ethos.

There’s also an exclusive new track in the form of a brand new remix by ZG, the duo consisting of Zansika Lachhani and Grant, who reworked Love Triangle from the new Black Light Smoke album Ghosts into a lush, understated cut that opens the album and sets the tone to tracks to come.

The collection also includes the Dark Disco Mix of Ghosts from said Black Light Smoke album.

Elsewhere Nadia Khan’s sublime Conversation appears via the Francis Harris Reform, and the label boss’ various projects are well represented via two Frank & Tony cuts (Time Out Of Mind and Still Life), as well as a solo track – Recital of Facts, and a remix of Alex Albrecht pres. Melquiades – Morning Breeze.

There’s still plenty of room for other artists though – the magical Villete shares Show Me, while JVXTA, Rosas Nievas, Gry Bagøien and Hidden Spheres all feature with typically classy and thoughtful releases that sit perfectly in the Scissor and Thread cannon.
