Claudia Balla shares adventurous visual for her emotional new song
Following the release of her acclaimed new studio album ALICE, Claudia Balla has returned with another video from the project, this time for emotional track ‘running’.
“The track discusses the end of a relationship, the moment when one realizes that the other person failed to see them for who they really are and therefore maybe didn’t even love them at all or for the right reasons. With the song we say goodbye to the musical universe of Alice as Claudia is already preparing the next chapter”
– stated the talented singer.
“The new video guides us into a magical, impenetrable forest, shot in the magnificent Szilvásvárad, Hungary (also the filming location of the motion picture, “The King”), which is a metaphor for the untamable and unpredictable nature of love. The three last videos – “in my head”, “baby” and now “running” – tell us a whole love story if watched one after another”
– said Claudia about the video.
Based in Switzerland, Claudia Balla is a singer-songwriter who has established her name as an exciting talent and one to watch. Claudia entered onto the scene in 2013 with her debut album “Enough”. The record combined soft, stripped-down melodies with powerful piano ballads which made her a force to be reckoned with in the European music scene and paved the way for bigger things to come.
In 2016, Claudia released her sophomore album, “Fire”, featuring her statement single “Perfect”. The thought-provoking song powerfully deals with the current social status of women and the challenges still imposed on women around the world. The contemporary pop production, dark harmonic elements and honest lyrics resonated within the hearts of listeners across the world.
She also recorded a bilingual, winter-themed duet with the renowned Swiss singer, Sonia Grimm (“Likely/Si vous saviez”). With her new album “ALICE”, Claudia invites us into her own version of Wonderland; a somber and sometimes lonely dystopia, but portrayed in a delicate, hopeful, and relatable manner. Gravitating back sonically to her previous work, Claudia also stretches her songwriting further, both melodically and lyrically.
