ITAI drops jazz-infused house single “Speedy Gonzales”

ITAI continues his Unfinished project with a Latin house track called “Speedy Gonzales”, which blends Mexican instruments with electronic sounds.

Over the last few years, ITAI has been making a name for himself within the downtempo/organic house scene, but in recent times he has started to explore other tempos and work more with synthesisers. Still true to his roots, his recent music has been more synthesised, but he still uses a lot of live instruments and earthy percussion.

Speedy Gonzales has a synthesised bass hook that fills the track with an upbeat funk while a percussion loop adds organic textures. As the track unfolds it introduces Latin elements such as a flamenco guitar and what sounds like pan-pipes.

Apparently, the track has been extensively developed as part of ITAI’s live set, and following incredible crowd responses, it has made its way to becoming an official release. This makes a lot of sense, as the feel-good vibe and uplifting energy of this release certainly make for a crowd-pleaser.

The music comes via ITAI’s own record label The Teddy Bear Lounge, but he has also featured his music on other imprints ranging from The Soul Brothers’ Talavera Records to Laroz’s Camel Riders.
