After the first release featuring Silat Beksi and label head Loopdeville, the freshly founded digital imprint Gargaroche presents emerging Romanian artist Raz with “Loosen Up”, a dynamic EP that showcases his mastery of house music with a minimalist approach, delivering four captivating tracks that are destined to become instant classics. The mastering for this material is signed by RV Audio.

Based in the UK, Raz has recently been presented as a resident at Into The Woods, London, alongside many other established and emerging groove soldiers while some of his productions were deployed via Micronica Records, Intelligent Sound, iQollective, Podvodo, Juuz Records, TwoTone, Just Fish Wax, What Now Becomes LTD, Hasu, Re.Face and his own Bandcamp page. He’s also one of the artists behind Tamiras and Ventriloc ventures, organising memorable events and bringing forward quality electronic music in both digital and vinyl formats.

Raz‘s signature style shines through in this release, combining catchy melodies with a fresh, contemporary sound. From the early morning sunrise to the late-night dancefloor, these tracks are carefully crafted to captivate listeners at any hour.

The title track “Loosen Up” opens the EP with a warm and breezy sound perfect for the afterhours or laid-back afternoon sessions. The steady-paced rhythm is elegantly complemented by a catchy and meandering arpeggio which combined with the electric vocal sample and the breathing moments delivers a solid sound.

Following, “Take Me” and “Big Bickies” dive deep into minimal tech vibes, focusing on uplifting drumming patterns while the background textures complement the track’s progression with elegance. The closing cut “Wanna Be” switches gears and tones down everything, laying out a crunchy low-slung beat powered by swinging arrangements and highly modulated vocal cuts that add extra spice to the whole story.
