Discover a new artwork made by HOMEBOY LDJ, titled The World, that reveals the artist’s enormous skills and infinite passion for making letters. All kinds of letters. From simple and legible letters to the super complex wild style, HOMEBOY LDJ can create an entire universe using only lettering and his distinct elements (the eyes of the character, stairs, and different patterns & textures). In total contrast with the digital world, HOMEBOY LDJ continues to perfect his hand drawing and painting skills by exercising almost daily and constantly creating new artworks. HOMEBOY LDJ can easily apply colours and volume to any surface, from graffiti walls to canvas and paper.

“The World,” an extraordinary canvas painting by the talented artist Homeboy LDJ, is a vivid and intricate portrayal that melds wild-style graffiti letters, symbolic characters, and a rich narrative that spans from the streets to the artist’s personal and cultural influences. At the forefront, the wild-style graffiti letters spell out “Home,” each stroke a proof of Homeboy LDJ’s command over this dynamic art form.

A little grey statuette of a person donned in a hoody is depicted creating graffiti on a brick wall, capturing the essence of street art in action. Above the letters, two green human characters emerge, each with a distinct symbolism. On the left, a grey communist block figure wearing a green coat and brandishing a horn exhales dark blue smoke. Adjacent to it stands another green character resembling a hill, adorned in a green coat. This character holds a red realistic heart in the right hand and a graffiti spray can in the left—an embodiment of the artist’s fusion of emotion and urban expression. Perched atop this green hill character sits a whimsical blue monster with features reminiscent of a human-spider hybrid. Sporting three feet, two hands, and a tentacle, this creature wields a graffiti spray can, roller, and a bomb. Its head is a metro train adorned with graffiti letters spelling out the name of the renowned Romanian writer, ERPS.

The World” by Homeboy LDJ is a multi-layered masterpiece that intertwines graffiti artistry with personal and cultural symbols. The canvas serves as proof of the artist’s ability to create a visual narrative that not only reflects his mastery of the craft but also invites viewers into a world where imagination, symbolism, and street culture converge in a brilliant tapestry of colours and forms.
