Ohboy – “Pixel01”, acrylic painting on cotton canvas, 30 x 24 cm, 2021 (part of the Safiticuminti collection)
Ohboy is one of the active graffiti writers on the Romanian scene, keeping a low profile, all the while relentlessly covering new grounds and defining his style. Alongside Pulsar Sinaps, he is a part of the Kaps crew, and together they painted a lot of mural artworks in Iași, Sibiu, Bucharest & Plugari. We featured some of their output in the Un-hidden street art in Romania book & map, as well as publishing some of their amazing sketches and digital works on feeder.ro, during the pandemics.

If you are passionate about street art and graffiti you should check the “Arta în spații publice din Romania“ exhibition at Lente, where you can find two amazing canvases painted with sprays and markers by Ohboy. Both artworks are available for sale in our online gallery – shop here.
Titled “Pixel01“, this small painting unveils Ohboy‘s passion for details and clean letters. In this artwork, he combines two different styles that one can hardly imagine go well together. The main part of the composition is made in wild style, while the other part is pixelated, letting the viewer experience her or his vision on the canvas, in order to decode the initial letters that were distorted.
