The newest art toy by Pisica Pătrată is a 17,5 cm miniature version of the 1,9 m totem he created during the 2017 edition of Un-hidden Bucharest.
Acrylics and lacquer on assembled wood, 2023 / 50 mm x 50 mm x 175 mm
Only one is available at the moment.
The first Totem miniature was exhibited in the Un-hidden Bucharest participation at Romanian Design Week 2019, in the Multidisciplinary section.
About Pisica Pătrată
Pisica Pătrată is one of the foremost illustrators and muralists in Romania, as well as the founder of the Comic Strip Museum. His activity is intense, with many public appearances, book launches, comics, magazines, solo exhibitions, participation in festivals such as East European Comic Con, Anim’est, Sibiu International Street Art Festival, International Street Art Festival Timișoara or Street Delivery, and a long series of mural works, among which we remember the collaboration with WWF, a street art installation on the facade of the Capitol Summer Theatre (2009, 2016, 2017), the installation on the façade of the Marconi Cinema (2016), the participation in the series Pictăm Pereți (2016) in Lente, the totem (2017) and the installation composed of 6 wooden panels (2018) within the Un-hidden Bucharest project, the mural painting at the Regina Maria National College of Arts in Constanta (2019), within the Un-hidden Romania program, and the art installation at the Mihai Eminescu Branch of the Bucharest Metropolitan Library, within the Street Art Bucharest project (2021). Also as part of Save or Cancel cultural projects, Pisica Pătrată has exhibited some of his amazing paintings in group exhibitions at Kube, Lente, Palatul Universul, Romanian Design Week and Imbold Gallery.
In the books Viața zidurilor în spațiul public and Un-hidden street art in Romania, the Artă în lucru, nr. 1 magazine, as well as on the Un-hidden map, you can find some of the works and art installations through which Pisica Pătrată reconfigures forgotten urban spaces, galleries or museums.
