Popescu – Harap Alb continuă
A3 digital print, framed by the artist, 40 x 50 cm black frame*
This framed print reimagines Harap Alb as a high-intensity fantasy epic, filtered through Popescu’s unmistakable comic-book language. The composition is dense and cinematic: overlapping characters, dramatic gestures, and swirling textures pull the viewer into a moment of suspended conflict, where myth, violence, and magic collide. Drawing from Romanian folklore while borrowing the visual grammar of classic fantasy comics, the illustration blends heroic archetypes with exaggerated expressions and muscular, dynamic anatomy. The line work is meticulous and restless, layered with earthy tones and sharp highlights that give the scene both weight and motion. Framed and ready to display, the print functions as a statement piece for anyone interested in contemporary illustration, comics, or bold reinterpretations of cultural mythology.
