Description
Ohboy – Bomb VII (pink), 2025
spray paint and marker on 280 gsm canvas panel, 40 x 30 cm, signed
Bomb VII (pink) shifts the series toward a lighter, more elastic register, using pastel pinks, pale yellows, and deep red accents to reconfigure the familiar bombed form. The composition unfolds horizontally across the surface, with layered shapes drifting and interlocking rather than compressing. Marker lines remain visible and deliberate, anchoring the sprayed areas and preserving the immediacy of the gesture.
Compared to earlier works in the series, Bomb VII introduces a sense of air and suspension. The letterform becomes less forceful, more fluid – suggesting movement, overlap, and rhythm rather than impact. It closes the sequence on a note of controlled release, maintaining the logic of graffiti bombing while opening it toward a more atmospheric, studio-driven expression.
