Description
Ohboy – Bomb V (blue), 2025
spray paint and marker on 280 gsm canvas panel, 40 x 30 cm, signed
Bomb V (blue) operates in a compressed, vertical rhythm, built from layered blue tones ranging from pale cyan to deep navy. The composition stacks and drifts upward, with rounded forms accumulating into a dense, floating structure. Thin white and black marker lines trace through the sprayed shapes, punctuating the mass with quick, schematic gestures.
The palette cools the series down, emphasizing depth and overlap rather than impact. The bombed form becomes atmospheric – less an explosion than a slow expansion – suggesting suspension, repetition, and controlled drift. Positioned within the series, Bomb V functions as a moment of visual intake, tightening the structure before the warmer and lighter works that follow.
