With great enthusiasm, we present a new and rare piece of the local culture as a canvas painted by legendary graffiti writer
Msero.
Msero is a Romanian artist who lives and works in Bucharest, but his long passion for graffiti keeps him constantly on the road, chasing new trains and metros in the EU, the US, and other continents.
You could expect a lot of artwork from such a prolific and active writer, but with
Mser, this is not the case. He rarely paints on canvas or paper and prefers to exhibit his works on metros, trains, and urban walls. We can only imagine that obtaining the same excellent results on canvas requires a lot more time because of the difficulty of painting all the details on a smaller scale.
“
Water Splash,” created by Romanian graffiti artist Mser, is an inventive and dynamic artwork that combines graffiti style with a fluid, aquatic theme. The piece creatively showcases Mser’s graffiti tag “MSERO,” with the letters skilfully painted to resemble splashing water. The letters flow organically, almost liquid as if caught in mid-splash, with curved edges and intricate shapes that evoke the motion and fluidity of water. The rich ochre brown background warmly contrasts the cool tones within the letters, creating a playful visual dynamic. Adding a striking touch, the canvas features a pink liquid splash motif behind the letters, giving the impression that the water-like graffiti is leaping out against this contrasting layer.
In “Water Splash,” Mser showcases his unique ability to transform lettering into natural shapes, merging graffiti aesthetics with a sense of motion and flow. Msero is a skilled graffiti writer who can paint super fast when he applies similar techniques to canvas, he must expend more time on the details than in any of his outdoor works. He can spend weeks and even a few months until he considers an artwork finished.
