Aeul – „Lumina”, digital print on canvas, 40 x 40 cm, 2025
The feeder.ro online gallery expands its street art collection with new charming artwork by Aeul. The „Lumina” canvas was painted in 2024 in Romania. This digital print on canvas reproduces an original artwork titled “Lumina” (The light), painted by Aeul in 2025. One of Romania’s most active and widely appreciated graffiti writers, Aeul translates his unmistakable graffiti language into a vivid, surreal composition.
Two of Aeul’s omnipresent street characters hover above a chessboard, transforming the familiar game into a symbolic arena where logic, strategy, and imagination collide. The board is gradually overtaken by spider-like creatures and blooming flowers, suggesting a tension between the playful organic world and the chaos that disrupts rigid structures and rules.
The background unfolds into a surrealist-inspired landscape dominated by pixelated forms and honeycomb patterns, blending digital aesthetics with natural geometry. These elements create a sense of constant motion and layered realities, where technology, nature, and street mythology coexist. Bold colours, fluid lines, and intricate details invite the viewer to navigate the scene as if moving through a dreamlike level of a game, one that resists clear outcomes.
Balancing irony and visual poetry, this work captures Aeul’s ability to merge graffiti with contemporary symbolism, offering a dynamic image that feels both rooted in street culture and open to endless interpretation.
