SPAM – INDEX aims to be the first online platform for promoting digital, internet and post-internet art in Romania and artists who investigate and reflect on the impact of the internet in today’s society. We want to support the production of this type of creativity in the local context by increasing the visibility of local artists and their already produced works, as well as archiving them, commissioning new works, a series of interviews and articles, creating online residences, promoting digital events or art competitions, both international and especially national.

This will be the framework for the development of a collective of digital and post-internet artists and the first experimental platform of Romanian Internet art and digital art in Romania, where the IRL and URL experiences are commented, examined and converted into art. The online platform will contain a database with Romanian artists, a news section (open-calls announcements, exhibitions, conferences theme related) while bringing in forefront the first online works and articles commissioned by the Spam-Index team for Romanian artists and theorists interested in internet, post-internet and digital art.
