When local artists Hipp and Alex Ungureanu meet they become a powerful music machine named Hippex. Their latest collaboration titled “Drowning By The Light” can be found making waves on the A-Side of KNTNT004 Various Artists compilation which will soon be released through Vlad Arapasu‘s label Kontent on vinyl. Both artists are well-known for their intense activity in the scene, either we talk about music-making or mixing, so expect yet another fantastic collaboration where minimal meets exotic flavours of funk and dub, exclusively on feeder sound.

With the tempo set at around 123 bpm, this cut provides a serious dose of swing coming from its raw broken beats, reverberated tones, cunning arrangements and carefully placed breakdowns. You’ll see yourself dancing on this one in no time. The duo delivers once more and it will surely be nice to see more tracks from them or even EPs or LPs in the future. Hipp has previously worked with imprints like Fratii.ro, Capucine Records, Groove.ro, Otomoji, Welter, Questionmark Records and Zebra Records, while Alex Ungureanu released some of his productions with a few labels already mentioned as well as Implimind, Miden, Mooze Records and BP recs, among others.
