With vibrant, seductive blooms and deep, syrupy booms, Chklte‘s subtleties climb into the ear like tendrils, whether we talk about his own productions or DJ sets. A zealous 15-year-old Jonathan started sneaking into South Texas clubs to mix after digging through numerous music genres, vinyl and digital alike. Six years later he became a resident in Austin and a regular guest at respected local venues. Now, based between Europe and the USA, he’s one of the resident DJs behind BlackTone party which hosted artists like Voigtmann, Praslesh, tINI, Herodot, Priku, Alci and Afriqua, among others.
With releases on labels like OGE, We R The Aliens, Tied, Personality Disorder, SVDR, Vatos Locos, Moonfruit, Floorpiece, Melotherapy, Vuew and Honne Music, Chklte also brings forward his own vinyl playground Choko and its digital counterpart ChokoDIGI, where you can find personal edits and exclusive treats. Lately, he’s been touring, delivering amazing experiences at ADE Festival in Amsterdam, Club der Visionaere in Berlin, as well as at other events in the UK, Mexico, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria and recently Romania.
