TypeThursday este o întâlnire lunară dedicată pasionaților de literă. Ne place să credem că suntem o super-familie tipografică și vom atrage iubitorii de litere din toate disciplinele grafice și cu diverse grade de expertiză. TypeThursday este un eveniment de socializare urmat de TypeCrit – discuție moderată pe proiecte ce au ca temă interes creația sau utilizarea de literă.
Ce înseamnă Type Crit?
Pe scurt, este o sesiune prietenoasă de feedback pe tema literelor. Nu se dau note 🙂
Pe îndelete, TypeCrit este discuție moderată pe baza a trei proiecte în lucru ce au ca temă interes creația sau utilizarea de literă. Participanții pot asculta, primi sau oferi feedback. După terminarea sesiunii de feedback, participanții sunt invitați să mai rămână o oră pentru socializare într-o atmosferă relaxată.

18:30 – Check in & Socializare
19:20 – Deschidere & Introducere
19:30 – Type Crit
20:30 – Discuții de final & Încheiere
20:40 – Socializare, poți intra în discuții de detaliu cu oamenii de la care ai primit feedback
21:30 – Încheierea evenimentului

Trebuie să prezint un proiectul dacă particip?
Dacă nu ai înscris proiectul în prealabil, nu. Unii oameni vin pentru socializare, alții vin să observe și să învețe, iar unii vin să dea feedback. Nivelul de implicare este la alegerea ta.
De ce să prezint proiectul la TypeCrit?
În primul rând primești într-un mod prietenos și profesionist feedback din partea colegilor de breaslă. În al doilea rând, ai acces gratuit la eveniment și îți anunțăm prezentarea pe platformele noastre de social media.
Ce fel de proiecte pot prezenta la TypeCrit?
Acceptăm orice proiecte ce implică utilizarea sau designul de literă. Exemple: logo-uri și proiecte de branding, lettering, caligrafie, typeface design, design de carte, design UI designs bazat pe typography, sau orice alt gen de proiect care să fie legat de litere.
Cum înscriu un proiect pentru TypeCrit?
Uploadează fișierele folosind formularul online TypeThursdayBUC. Munca ta va fi proiectată în sala de eveniment folosint un laptop & proiector.

TypeThursdayBUC is a monthly event dedicated to everyone with a passion for typography. We like to think of ourselves as a type super-family: we attract local letterform lovers hailing from all disciplines and levels of expertise. Social hours bookend the centerpiece of our event, a group critique we refer to as Type Crit.
What the font is Type Crit?
Briefly: It’s a friendly critique of letterforms. No grades. Plenty of wine/beer.
Type Crit is a group critique of up to three in-progress projects involving letterform design and/or usage. You can get, give, or simply listen to feedback – your pick! Discussion is moderated by a TypeThursdayBUC dialogue lead—we pride ourselves on fostering a friendly forum for constructive, thoughtful advice that’ll raise the baseline on your letterform game.

20:40 – More mixing ’n’ mingling. During Type Crit, you’ll realize there are tons of smart people in the room you still need to meet!

Who should attend?
Anyone who loves letterforms. We always welcome a new (type)face.
Do I have to present?
Not at all! Some people come to network, some to learn and observe, and some to help give feedback. Your level of participation is up to you.
Why should I consider presenting at Type Crit?
You’ll get free, friendly, fast feedback from fellow font fanatics. Type Crit presenters get free admission to the event. We shower presenters with love on our social media.
What kinds of work can I show at Type Crit?
We accept any work involving the use or design of letterforms. Examples: logotype designs, hand lettering, calligraphy, typeface design, print layouts that involve typesetting, UI designs that need hierarchical sharpening… or make up a new genre of type-related work and blow our minds!
How do I submit work to Type Crit?
Upload files using TypeThursdayBUC’s handy online form. We’ll display your work using a projector hooked up to a laptop.
