The Sense of Meaning is an Orienting Reflex este expoziția de lansare a catalogului Ștefan Ungureanu Ant Generated Future, coord. Ioana Marinescu, care va apărea la Ed.Pandora M (Parte din Grupul Editorial Trei), noiembrie 2017, la Centrul Multicultural al Universității Transilvania din Brașov.

Pentru Ștefan Ungureanu, timpul este punctat de lucrările pe care le realizează. În consecință, lucrarea devine o unitate de măsură, o monadă care îi structurează viața interioară.
În acest sens, catalogul se dovedește un nou tip de unealtă, un nou tip de hartă, orientată temporal de un nou tip de cartare, un echilibru punctat care îi ajută pe artist și privitor deopotrivă să navigheze printre unitățile de timp ale lui Ungureanu.

The Sense of Meaning is an Orienting Reflex is the launch exhibition of the Ștefan Ungureanu catalogue, Ant Generated Future, coordinated by Ioana Marinescu and published by Pandora M Publishing (part of the Editorial Group Trei) in November 2017, at Centrul Multicultural al Universității Transilvania from Brașov.

For Ștefan Ungureanu time is punctuated by the works he has been making. Consequently, the work of art becomes a unit of measurement, a monad that structures his inner life.
In this regard, the catalogue proves itself to be a new kind of tool, a new kind of map, temporally oriented by a new type of charting, a punctuated equilibrium that helps both the artist and the viewer to navigate through Ungureanu’s time units.
