>> Saluna, or Andrei Țîrcă by his real name, is a 29 year old Bucharest-based producer and DJ, who sets his musical playground around glitchy, dark, analogue, electronic sounds.
With an alternative-instrumental background, he played guitar as a teenager, then switched to drums, and quickly joined the post-rock band Moebius. The group held numerous gigs in all big cities of Romania, having a bunch of TV and radio appearances before they split up in early 2016.
Saluna project marks the artist’s debut in composition/production. His style now circles around nostalgic synth textures and discrete vocals, with a whiff of instrumental elements.
His first EP was released in September 2017 on the popular electronic label Local Records. “Grace”, the first single from the EP, has premiered on Eclectic.fm radio station, attracting a lot of interest from the underground local public. The single also benefits from a dreamy video directed by local director prodigy Tudor Jurgiu, aired on two of the most relevant music channels in Romania: Music Channel and Hit Music Channel.
