După performance-ul durațional la MARe/Muzeul de Artă Recentă și spectacolul de pe scena Unteatru, vă invităm să descoperiți cea de-a treia formă diferită de reprezentare a temei noastre: filmul de dans. El adună esența periplurilor anterioare în doze concentrate de alienare, dorință și intimitate.
“Când am discutat ideea proiectului, acum un an, împreună cu Cristina, Smaranda și Simona, nu ne-am imaginat că circumstanțele vor evolua într-un mod atât de alienant. Că alienarea față de ceilalți va căpăta noi înțelesuri, o nouă realitate și noi forme. Că ne va crește frica față de ceilalți, toți aceia care prezintă un potențial un pericol pentru noi. Că riscăm să ne înstrăinăm față de noi înșine.”

Rezultatul este un performance multimedia, un asamblaj al mai multor scene care gravitează în jurul celor 3 cuvinte cheie. Este o călătorie în mișcare, poetică, vizuală, în subteranele dorințelor noastre, o călătorie intimă spre ceea ce ne motivează să fim cu noi înșine sau cu ceilalți.
Pornim de la cuvinte. Nu orice cuvinte, ci acelea care, stârnite de actul și practica artistică, răzbat din zone greu accesibile ale sinelui. Erup prin vorbe și prin dans, corpul având capacitatea de a arăta prin mișcare ceea ce este dincolo de cuvinte. Suprapunem imagini filmate și proiectate live, din unghiuri altfel invizibile spectatorului, pentru a susține sau a contrazice mesajul corporal.
Într-o relație completă – chiar intimă – cu dansul este și muzica. Cele 7 piese totalizând 57 de minute au fost create de tânărul compozitor Andrei Petrache în decurs de o lună.
CONNECTION – un scurtmetraj produs de Zoe Ramsey și Tonya Sheina pornind de la aceeași temă. Au lucrat în aceeași clădire, foarte aproape, dar în săli diferite… de fapt online.
Mă uit la ecranul meu și ne văd pe noi, mă văd pe mine vorbind cu tine. Uneori nu mă auzi…
Dansez… Mă uit în altă parte și ai dispărut… Sunt pe cont propriu… Văd reflexia în geam… Aud pe cineva strigând afară, îl auzi și tu.
Râdem. Te urmăresc dansând și simt cum mișcarea trece în mine, sunt gata să te urmez. Dansez și te văd cum te uiți cu atenție la ecran.
Dansăm împreună… împreună. Îmi imaginez cum dansăm toate patru. Eu în studioul de sus, tu în cel de jos și încă o dată noi două, mici și pixelate, în câte-un mic pătrat pe ecran care nu se potrivește nicicum în tot sudioul și care nu ne ajută nici pe noi… ne îndepărtăm. Mă las la podea și ies. Cucu-bau! Ne ascundeam, noi două! Mai dansăm o dată?
CLOSE ENOUGH – Sunteți curioși ce s-a întâmplat la repetiții? Cum am evoluat ALIENATION or the desire for intimacy de la idee la performance? Procesul de lucru a fost documentat de Cătălin Munteanu într-un film prin care își propune să descopere ce înseamnă pentru fiecare din performeri intimitatea, dorința și alienarea. Mai mult decât transpunerea acestor teme într-o coregrafie, a fost interesat de procesul de descompunere și recompunere a lor în cadrul repetițiilor.
ALIENATION or the desire for intimacy este un proiect internațional între artiști din România, Suedia și Irlanda de Nord produs de PETEC în parteneriat cu Lava-Dansproduktion.
PETEC (Asociația pentru Teatru și Carte) este activă în domeniul artei contemporane din 2013 dezvoltând proiecte culturale și programe bazate pe interdisciplinaritate și dialog. Din 1997 Lava-Dansproduktion a fost implicată în numeroase proiecte de training și performance în Suedia și în mai multe țări est europene. Mai multe detalii despre proiect pe site-ul www.petec.ro.

After the durational performance @MARe/Museum of Recent Art and the premiere of the stage performance live-streamed from Unteatru, we invite you to discover a third representation of the same theme: the dance film which gathers the essence of previous representations in concentrated doses of alienation, desire and intimacy.
′′When we discussed the idea of the project, a year ago, together with Cristina, Smaranda and Simona, we didn’t imagine the circumstances would evolve in such an alienating way. That alienation from others will gain new meaning, new reality and new forms. That we will increase our fear of others, all those who present a potential danger to us. That we risk alienating ourselves.”

The result is a multi-media performance, an assemblage of different scenes around the three themes of the project: Alienation, Desire and Intimacy. It’s a poetic, visual, moving journey into the underworld of our desires, an intimate journey to what motivates us to be with ourselves and with others.
We start with words. Not just any words, but those that, sparked by the artistic practice, escalate from the most hidden areas of the self. They break out through words and dance, the body has the capacity to reveal through movement what is beyond words. We overlap live images to support or contradict body messages.
In a complete – even intimate – relationship with dancing is also music. The 57 minutes comprising 7 tracks were created by the young composer Andrei Petrache within a month.
CONNECTION – the short video made by Zoe Ramsey and Tonya Sheina of Echo Dance Theatre Company in Northern Ireland will show a different perspective on the same theme:
I look at my screen that reflects back at me with our images, I see myself talking to you. you can’t hear me sometimes….
I dance… I look away and you disappear… I’m on my own… I see the reflection in the window… I hear somebody shouts on the street, you hear it too.
We laugh. I watch you dance and I feel the movement going through me, I’m ready to follow you. I dance and I see you watching through the screen attentively.
We dance together…together. I imagine four of us dancing. Me in the studio upstairs, you in the studio downstairs and two flat small pixelated us on a small square of screen that cannot fit in the whole studio, and can’t make us fit in, we are going away and beyond. I slide on the floor moving myself out. Peekaboo! we were hiding, us two! Shall we dance again?
CLOSE ENOUGH – Are you curious to see what happened at rehearsals for ALIENATION or the desire for intimacy? How the project has evolved from idea to performance? Cătălin Munteanu documented the entire process aiming to discover what intimacy, desire, and alienation means to each of the actors. More than transposing these themes into choreography, he is interested in the process of decomposing and recomposing them during the rehearsals
ALIENATION or the desire for intimacy is part of an international project among artists from 3 countries: Romania, Sweden and Northern Ireland. It is produced by PETEC in partnership with LAVA-Dansproduktion. PETEC (The Cultural Association For Theater And Books) is active in the field of contemporary art since 2013 developing cultural projects and programs focused on interdisciplinary and dialogue. Since 1997 LAVA-Dansproduktion has been involved in numerous teaching and performance projects in Sweden and various Eastern European countries.
The project is co-financed by The Administration of the National Cultural Fund and Konstnärsnämnden / The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
