After its editions in Germany, France, India, Taiwan, Canada, Sweden, Korea, and Cambodia, The Museum (theatre) opens its doors in Bucharest from September the 7th to the 9th in Atelierul de productie as part of the Bucharest International Dance Film Festival.
This participative installation offers the opportunity to stage oneself in a political and poetical self-portrait, to experiment a creative process, to create a micro-fiction. It invites the public to be in line with larger History from which they seem to be parted. On the border between theatre and visual art, this installation enables the participants to reveal their generosity and sensitivity. Above a gallery of individual portraits, appears collectively a state of a country, a region, a city.
Conceived by French director Clyde Chabot, this project is inspired by Heiner Müllerʼs play Hamlet-Machine. This text is about the History of the 20th century and especially about the history of the communist dream and its collapse. The project is an attempt to include, in the lapse of a snapshot, each person’s individual story into the Great History and the present time.
In this theatrical and photographical installation, each visitor picks an historical photo from the 20th century up to today with one or several word(s) taken from Heiner Müllerʼs play and translated into romanian language and english. The photo is projected behind them as they pose in front of the camera alone or with their family with the word(s). Thus they create their self-portrait which is captured by a photographer.

Manifestare organizată în cadrul Sezonului România-Franța 2019
După edițiile din Germania, Franța, India,Taïwan, Canada, Sweden, Coreea, Muzeul (Teatru) își deschide usile la București, din 7 pană pe 9 septembrie, la Atelierul de Producție, in cadrul International Videodance Film Festival.
Această instalație participativă oferă șansa publicului de a se plasa și a crea un autoportret politic și poetic, de a experimenta un proces creativ, de a crea o micro-ficțiune. Invită publicul să se includă în Marea Istorie, de care pare să fie desprins. La granița între teatru și arte vizuale, instalația permite participanților să își dezvăluie generozitatea și sensibilitatea. Mai mult decât o galerie de portrete individuale, apare crearea colectivă a stării națiunii, a unei regiuni, a unui oraș.
Conceput de regizoarea franceză Clyde Chabot, proiectul este inspirat de piesa Hamlet-Machine, a lui Heiner Müller, a cărui text tratează Istoria secolului XX și, în special, istoria visului comunist și a colapsului acestuia. Proiectul este o încercare de a include, într-un instantaneu, povestea individuală a fiecărei persoane în Marea Istorie și în prezent.
În această instalație teatrală și fotografică, fiecare vizitator alege o fotografie istorică din secolul XX și pană in prezent, cu unul sau mai multe cuvinte preluate din piesa lui Heiner Müller, traduse în limba română și limba engleză. Fotografia este proiectată in spatele lui, în timp ce pozează, în fața camerei, singur sau împreună cu familia. Astfel, își creează autoportretul, capturat de un fotograf.
