Barac returns to Room One. One of Romania’s best-loved electronic musicians, the Bucharest artist has been one of the shining stars of Eastern Europe’s burgeoning house and techno scene in recent years. He’s put out minimal-inclined techno records with a dubby slant on labels like Lick My Deck, Meander and Pressure Traxx, and he’s also known as one of the sound’s most exciting DJs.
Following a series of killer nights with us he’s become something of a Farringdon staple, and this August he prepares to land for another extended session in Room One. Joining him is Voigtmann, our own family member and champion of his own sleek, minimal-minded techno sound. It’s a style he pushes via his label Subsequent, and one he’s long showcased in the depths of our space. This August, the two selectors both play extended sets to give us another look into their rich sound worlds.
