Brazil-based record label Totoyov returns to its vinyl-only series with four heavy dancefloor hitters produced on the shores of the Black Sea by the Romanian artist George Heerd. Titled “Magic Forest” and arriving in a limited number of copies at selected record stores worldwide, the 12″ already enjoys massive support from some of the biggest names in the scene, with the mastering being signed by RV Audio and the artwork by Juliette Siraj.

George has been riding the waves lately, dispatching several EPs and remixes via labels like Storytellers, Stomping Grounds, Myriad Records, Nug-Net, PhonicHouse1 Records, Evaporate and Half Bloom. His distinct sound elegantly blends minimal techno, microhouse, electro and acid influences, always delivering uplifting rhythms and textures that can make anyone start dancing in seconds.

Closing the record, our featured track for today, “Deep In Space”, delivers a solid rumble through the frequencies as it lays out a vibrant beat and bassline core, elegantly complemented by weaving pads, highly modulated vocals buried deep in the mix, trippy effects and carefully placed breakdowns that add up to the whole journey with style.

The other three tracks, “Involver”, “West Coast” and “Magic Forest”, are equally engaging, creating a hypnotic sonic affair rooted in ROminimal. From electric synth layers that evolve into twisted arrangements with precision to immersive and cinematic atmospheres that elegantly create breathing moments, all compositions merge into an organic and driving soundscape, perfect for peak-time moments at any party.
