Local artist Libe makes his debut on the notorious DRG Limited series with an amazing EP announced to arrive soon on the imprint’s digital space. The mastering is provided by label head Dragutesku via his DRG Mastering services.

Lucian Rotaru aka Libe is a DJ and producer from Iași, Romania, whose journey into music began at the age of five, when his father introduced him to the world of electronic and ambient sounds. Early exposure to pioneers like Jean-Michel Jarre, Enigma, Vangelis and Kitaro sparked a lifelong fascination with quality music and laid the foundation for his artistic path.

For the past 20 years, he’s been captivating audiences with groovy, dynamic sets that keep dancefloors moving. He also organised more than 100 events across Romania as part of Let’s Groove Agency and performed internationally at renowned clubs in Russia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, the UK, Germany and Ukraine.

Beyond mixing, Libe is a prolific producer with over 100 releases on respected labels such as Akbal Music, Key All, Le Borgne, Tzinah Records, Inwave, Wavetech, Resonance, Jelly Beast, Tupiar and Moral Fiber. His sound is deeply rooted in the ’90s–2000s house tradition, blending breakbeats, UK house and minimal beats into a repertoire that fuses classic influences with modern energy. With his distinctive style and dedication to underground culture, he delivers unforgettable musical experiences that resonate with authenticity and groove. He’s also the older brother of the Bratias duo alongside Octave.

It begins like a breath held in twilight, with strings and distant voices opening a doorway into a minimal, drifting world. As the rhythm awakens, the energy grows restless, shifting from softness to a rawer pulse, as if the track itself decides to step out of its own shadow. At the heart of it all lies the Armenian duduk, carrying a melody that feels both ancient and intimate. Its voice is the thread that ties everything together, the longing, the tension, the quiet fire. This track is a journey between contrasts.
