Cristi Cons makes his debut on British label Crosstown Rebels with “Give Me Love EP”, a magnetic three-tracker which sees the artist blending his signature tension-and-release groove architecture into some of its most direct club form yet, as he dives deep into dancefloor-ready house music.

Founded by DJ and producer Damian Lazarus in 2003, Crosstown Rebels and its sublabels Crosstown Digital, Rebellion and Rebelone are firmly dedicated to supporting and developing modern electronic dance music, with a discography spanning hundreds of releases from both established and emerging artists around the world.

A central figure of the Romanian minimal scene and classically trained musician, Cristi Cons is widely known for his activity in the underground movement, as well as for his collaborative works alongside Vlad Caia as SIT and Mischa Blanos joining the duo and bringing forward timeless titles under the Amorf moniker. In 2011, he signed the first release coming from Amphia, the iconic record label he co-founded with Vlad, followed by memorable EPs dropped on imprints such as [a:rpia:r], Meander, Fuse London, Serialism Records, Berg Audio, Adam’s Bite, Understand, Playedby, Sushitech and our own feeder sound, where he published “Glimpse of the past EP“ back in 2024.

Side A is dedicated to the title track “Give Me Love”, which sets the tone and lays out a vibrant rhythm built for late-night momentum. Here, minimal aesthetics smoothly blend with electrifying deep house elements, drifting vocal cuts and warm chords that call for dancing.

On the flipside, we first have “Can You Hear Me” taking the journey further with a hypnotic pulsation, dubby textures, restrained bass pressure, hooky vocals and a snaking groove meant to keep the room in motion, while “You Ain’t Got Nothin” closes the record with tight drumming patterns, meandering synth loops and a prominent vocal sample that falls into focus on the breakdowns.
