Bauch & Niimm – Paradisiac EP (w. Cezar Lazar remix) [GEMiNii Records]

GEMiNii Records‘ latest release brings together three exceptional artists who push the boundaries of deep minimal production, as Bauch and Niimm join forces on the “Paradisiac EP” alongside Cezar Lazar on remix duties. The mastering is provided by Vlad Caia, while the artwork is signed by Francesca Bolognini.

Developed by BioN and a tight circle of close friends in 2019, GEMiNii began as an intimate party concept at Berlin’s iconic Club der Visionaere and naturally evolved from a gathering built on friendship and shared musical vision into a respected record label with a carefully curated aesthetic. So far, the imprint’s catalogue includes three EPs from Root & Bauch, Denis Kaznacheev and Szafran, as well as two Various Artists compilations, one pressed on vinyl and the second released in digital format.

Simone Raffaele aka Bauch is an Italian DJ, producer and co-owner of Lasublim Records and Super 8 Club, esteemed for his memorable releases on Playful Science, Sobriquet, Kanja, Stamp, Re.Face Records, Elarum, BodyParts, Inwave, Little Helpers, Miden and Saraw, among others.

Born in Venezuela and now based in Italy, Niimm is known for his explorations in modular synthesis, algorithmic composition and sound design, crafting a distinctive approach to electronic music that moves fluidly between ambient, experimental and minimal aesthetics. He’s also behind projects like Three_Angles and Reback, with his music released through labels including Inwave, Kosmophono, Modvlar Records, Enfant Records, Moira Audio, DubGestion, Insound Recordings and Arupa Music.

On Side A we find the title track and the original version of “Paradisiac”, a warm stripped-back composition designed with shuffling, crisp drums, captivating basslines, delicate piano touches, celestial pads and mysterious vocal samples. The lush breakdowns are carefully placed to create a sense of space and serenity, taking the listener into an immersive auditory experience rooted in introspection.

Cezar Lazar takes the track to new heights with his remix, infusing it with syncopated broken beats, twisted vocal snippets and subtle synth echoes. By adding a layer of complexity and intrigue to the journey, he shifts the mood and transforms A1 into a late-night weapon for already heated dancefloors and discerning ears.
