Milan-based label Hashplant returns with its first vinyl-only title of the year in the form of “The Jungle EP”, signed by Giuliano Lomonte. Pressed in a limited number of copies, the 12″ will soon arrive at select record stores around the world, further solidifying the imprint’s reputation for timeless, groove-driven releases. Last year, the venture delivered three collectable EPs from Sublee, Mihai Pol and Mihigh.

Currently living in Berlin, Giuliano Lomonte is an Italian DJ, producer and sound engineer well-known for his distinct take on minimal techno and microhouse music. Over time, he has built a strong reputation within the international underground scene, steadily earning recognition for his warm, analog-leaning productions and carefully crafted DJ sets. Aside from the releases published via his own Point Of View and Attitude Records, he also collaborated with labels like Ultrastretch, Pressure Traxx, Animae Ltd, Aku, Brouqade, Raum…musik, Curtea Veche, Bread And Butter Recordings, Rawax and Re.Face Limited, to name a few.

Elegantly blending minimal house and tech house aesthetics, HPR017 offers three original cuts, each driven by its own energy and designed for different moments on the dancefloor. Side A is reserved for the title track, “The Jungle”, a hypnotic and steady-paced composition built around looping vocal fragments that anchor the groove, weaving through relentless drumming patterns and evolving pads to generate a slow-burning tension.

On the flip, “Sensations” switches gears with a playful sound that draws influence from old-school house anthems and electro, delivering a vibrant, stripped-down cut suited for peak-time moments on the dancefloor, while “Authenticity” wraps up the record with a laid-back yet resonant rhythm complemented by meandering synth chords that feel both nostalgic and revitalizing, making it perfect for the afterhours or hazy afternoon sessions.
