Ruslan Masalygin is a DJ and producer based in Baku, Azerbaijan. Active in the underground scene since 2008, he’s the founder and curator of Buta Records, a forward-thinking label dedicated to publishing high-quality digital and vinyl releases. His sound is rooted in minimal techno and microhouse, capturing a refined, groove-driven aesthetic that reflects his role in the development of the region’s contemporary electronic music culture.
Over time, he steadily grew a consistent discography for the label, inviting local and internationally known artists to showcase their music and be part of the movement, while also revealing some of his own productions, noteworthy collaborations with Mhrrmv, Kondo and laminim, as well as surprising releases and recordings via labels like Canelura Records, Bohrium Records, EcouL SND, Minim.all, intaresu and Evaporate.
