feeder sound premiere: Hendriks Toth – Wanderings LP (one) [AKTA Records]

After his solo EP “Ararat“ released back in 2021 alongside Herck on remix duties, an appearance on the label’s third Various Artists compilation series and a solid reinterpretation dispatched for Etro Hahn‘s “Drummer EP” in 2024, Bratislava-based artist Hendriks Toth returns to AKTA Records with his first album titled “Wanderings”. Divided into two parts, with the first scheduled to arrive in February 2026, the LP delivers an introspective nomadic sonic travel diary designed with a delicate mix of field recordings, analog textures, granular processing and subtle rhythmic motifs that translate the resonance of various cities around the world.

Founded in 2014 by Romain Proust, AKTA Records is a French electronic music label focused on releasing inspiring works from the imprint owner himself as well as like-minded artists such as Cosmic Clap, Lumieux, Silat Beksi, Nicolas Duvoisin and Ramona Yacef, among others. This year the label will celebrate a decade of activity in the international undeground scene while opening Electronic Peak Festival taking place at the Les Arcs ski resort in the French Alps, with Cabanne at the decks as part of the venture’s ongoing showcase event series.

Far from being a literal geographic document, “Wanderings” reveals each track as an emotional fragment, an inner landscape shaped by the sounds of the outside world, captured, transformed and reassembled into a distinct collection. Part one of the LP features recordings from Tehran, Kolkata, Maputo, New York, Pamir, Jeddah and Kyiv (included as a digital bonus track).

From the tension of a Tehran alleyway, the dry heat of Jeddah, the vibrant chaos of Kolkata, the slow calm of Maputo, the urban pulse of New York, the sacred silence of the Pamir mountains and the restrained gravity of Kyiv, each journey has its own identity, highlighting Toth’s ability to experiment with ambient and minimal techno at the same time, creating timeless sonic affairs of this happenings.
