FORMS001 marks the first release for the LA-based record label hindsight, bringing together a collection of unique productions unified in mood, yet varied in approach.

From abstract and experimental minimal that merges with deep electronica, broken beats and house-infused cuts, this Various Artists compilation features seven immersive tracks provided by Seafoam, Kike Mayor, Glo Phase, M.P.C., Ernings, Gema and Pheek, the one behind our exclusive premiere for today, as well as the mastering for this whole twisted sonic journey. The artwork is signed by Larsen Sotelo.

Seafoam opens the VA with “I Can Sea”, an eerie composition where hazy and mysterious background textures seamlessly blend with reverberating chords and stripped-back broken beats, creating an alluring atmosphere perfect for introspective moments. Following, our featured track “Slightly There” by Pheek focuses on its percussive layers, which undergo an ever-evolving arrangement in tandem with a solid bassline and chilled pads, highlighting the artist’s deep connection to minimalistic aesthetics.

Next, Kike Mayor presents a rather dark minimal sound with “Mortal Konga”, mixing haunting textures and twisted synth chords with uncluttered drumming patterns while Glo Phase switches gears with “Ad Meliora”, dropping a vibrant yet dreamy track, where steady-paced drums intertwine with dissonant and phased layers of chords and bell pads. “No Gray Areas” by M.P.C. continues the journey with an uptempo vibe, merging deep house, tech house and experimental into a serene sound flavoured by carefully placed vocal cuts that add extra mystery to the whole.

“I Like It” by Ernings combines deep house and microhouse with an enveloping funky energy that resonates through shuffling percusion and warm complementary elements that can make anyone start moving their body in seconds. Gema closes the VA with a twisted and meditative piece titled “Evolution”, diving into breakbeat and deep electronica.
