Bold Parade, aka Paul McMahon, makes a welcome return this winter with another heart-warming, stellar collection of endearing and emotive songs on his ‘To The Future Together’ EP. Brimming with all those essential, finely crafted Bold Parade funk, jazz, Latin and soul sensibilities, Paul delivers four fresh grooves all executed with the highest standard of musicianship on this stunning genre-crossing release.

The EP kicks off with the warm afrocentric jazzy grooves of ‘The Golden Braid’, featuring the voices of The Stephens Oyo Choir, which glide over a funky backdrop and uplifting live brass, and comes complete with a sublime trumpet solo. ‘Land Of Tears’ is a beautifully laid-back Latin number, teased with pretty guitars and sun-drenched rhythms that flutter around Noon’s beautiful vocal performance. ‘To The Future Together’ EP also features regular vocal cohort Marti Buchanan, who’s enchanting tones come drizzled over funky outing, ‘My Place Of Joy’, and Bianca Amante also makes a return to the project on the sun-drenched, Latin flavoured, ‘Tarde cai, eu danço’ (Meaning “As evening falls, I dance”), which rounds off another quality release on Paul’s acclaimed Suzume Recordings.
